Pathology
Gastric Adenocarcinoma
Description
This infographic is a two-page spread on the pathological progression from infection to gastric adenocarcinoma via the Correa pathway. The purpose of this piece was to design a visual narrative for the pathological process, depicting the stages at varying degrees of scale including at the cellular, tissue, and organ level.

TISSUE STUDIES
To begin, I started off with a tissue landscape to familiarize myself with the stomach internal surface. Next, after researching gastric cancer and narrowing down the stages of progression based on the Correa pathway, I sketched out tissue cubes ranging from normal to cancerous tissue.
Comprehensive
I then laid out my desired two-page spread with the visuals, headings, and text based on my research. Once I was satisfied with the design, I started blocking in colours. I experimented with both dark and light backgrounds as well as different levels of saturation for the stomach tissue.
